I know very little about the technical aspects of creating art with a camera.
My favorite artistic photographs are those that, to me, seem to evoke the sense that the person being photographed is not only unaware of the cameras existence, but even if they were, they would not care. To me these photographs show people at their rawest level, that level that connects us to them organically, without any sense of the artificial. This photo of this subject, and something about the way he is framed by the environment he shares a life with, seems very real to me, very now, and alive.
